Charyl Teal has been swimming since the age of 3. At 16, Charyl gained
her first Lifeguarding Certificate followed by her Water Safety Instructor,
First Aid / CPR, and Pool & Beach Management certifications. For the
next 10 years, Charyl worked for the City of Columbus, Easter Seals of
Ohio, The Ohio State University, and the YWCA of Columbus. She coached
2 pool Swimming & Diving teams and taught nearly one thousand people
with varying skill levels how to swim.
After getting a Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering Technology,
Charyl started a family. Not wanting her children to miss out on the joys
of swimming, Charyl began teaching her children how to swim. Realizing
the hazards of home pools and water safety, Charyl set out to make her
neighbors safe around the pool.
Now armed with re-certification, Charyl hopes to continue bringing her
love of swimming to others, while making them safer in the water.
Instructor
Mario Ramón is a private music teacher for people of all ages.
After attending The Aquatic Academy with his daughter and son, he merged
his love of swimming with his talents in teaching.
Mario is a Level 2 Marine Corp Swimmer. He Participated in the high school
All-State competitions and is a national water polo player. Currently
Mario teaches music & swimming at the Montessori School of Downtown.
